Term 1, 2013 Working Bee

THIS SUNDAY APRIL 7th

12:00noon until 4:00pm

Each term at Colonel Light Gardens Primary School we have a working bee. This is an opportunity for students, friends and families of the school to come along and spend an hour or more working on a specific project on the school grounds, weeding, pruning, sweeping or simply picking up rubbish. Working together with our Groundsman, we can contribute to the school by helping to keep the grounds and environment of the school healthy and tidy.

The main jobs for the Term 1 Working Bee are:

*Clear drains ready for winter

*Remove dead plants

*Locate and map irrigation points and do any repairs if possible

* Clean up grounds ready for Enterprise Day, eg verandas, bike sheds, paths, windows and the kitchen in Langley Hall.

*Remove and relocate some larg agapanthus from local house

*Repairs to Trevor the Scarecrow, and maitenance of the raise garden beds.

There will be members of the Grounds and Environment Committee on hand to help direct you to a job. Just BYO gardening equipemnt and we’ll see you there!
