During the last two weeks the children have been practising different athletic events (eg: shot put, hurdles, long jump) and on Sports Day they will be able to compete for points for their House team. Children are asked to wear the colours ( MITCHELL, JACKSON, LIGHT, STURT) of their team on the day. Please remind your children to be sun smart, wear a hat and bring their own sunscreen. They may have got out of the habit.

Please note that it is regarded as a normal school day and students are expected to stay until the end of the day to support their team. Buildings and the bike shed will remain locked until the end of the day when class teachers will dismiss their class. Programmes will be available from outside the Front Office on Thursday morning.

*Colonel’s Kitchen (Canteen) will be open on Sports Day for ordering “normal” menu lunches, if you didn’t get a Subway order in. Please order them as normal, through the canteen lunch boxes in the classrooms before it gets sent to the Canteen (Macaroni bake, Macaroni Cheese & Spaghetti Bolognaise are unfortunately unavailable).

*Subway orders will be collected by classes during the lunch break.

*Instant tea & coffee to accompany the trading table cookies, slices & cakes will also be available – it will be under the veranda/historical entrance of CLGPS,  facing Mortlock Park.

*The CLG Fundraising committee will be holding a sausage sizzle for $2, for spectators 🙂

*Miss out on Quiz Night??
There are four fabulous silent auction items still available for purchase. Visit the Front Office to view them and make a bid! Bidding will close at the end of school term. Good luck!

AND don’t forget Friday is the last day of Term 3. Dismissal is 2:20pm. Term 4 resumes on 14th October
