Goodbye and Thank You

It is with very mixed feelings that I farewell CLGPS on my last day as Principal.

I am excited about creating the next phase of my life and look forward to a slower pace. However, I am very sad to leave the people that work so well together, to create the strong sense of community that makes CLGPS such a special place.

I thank you all for your support over the last four years and your kind wishes for the future.

I have made sure that Mr Rick Bennallack, our new Principal, knows just how lucky he is to be working in the CLG community!

Thank you and best wishes                                                                                                                       Sue Woollard

Short Sleeve Polo’s

Due to unforseen circumstances, the Supplier has again changed the delivery date of our well overdue stock. They have said the delivery of our polo t-shirts will be Wednesday 18th May. We apologise for the delay, keep your fingers and toes crossed they arrive next week 🙂

Once we receive the delivery, back orders will be filled, and hopefully sent to classrooms on Monday 23rd May. Thank you for your understanding in this frustrating time.

Farewell and Happy Retirement to Mrs Woollard

When Sue Woollard came to Colonel Light Gardens Primary School in 2012, she became the School’s fifth Principal in three years. Since then, Sue has provided a much-needed period of stability and consolidation that has seen our School go from strength-to-strength, particularly in relation to its core business of providing quality education for our children. While Sue’s leadership has led to some wonderful improvements in the School’s physical environment, her greatest impact has perhaps been less visible – developing a consistent, rigorous and data-driven approach to teaching and learning across all year levels. From implementing an Inquiry approach to pedagogy throughout the School, to launching the BYOD Program in 2015 and increasing the focus on supporting each student to achieve his or her best, Sue’s contribution to Colonel Light Gardens will continue to benefit our students for many years to come.

It has been a pleasure to work with Sue over the past two years, and on behalf of the School Council I thank her for her dedication, professionalism and energy. We wish her all the very best as she embarks on the next phase of her life.
