Exciting News! Colonel Light Gardens Primary School have been asked to host a group of Chinese students from Beijing Aidi International School in March 2017. We are seeking homestay families from our school community to care for one or two students (11-12 years old) for 4 weeks in March 2017.   Being a host family means taking one or two students under your wing, caring for them, making them feel welcome and giving them a taste of Aussie life. When you host an international student, they will become a member of your family and will attend school at CLGPS.

Your student will be a long way from home and in your care, so you will be expected to provide a safe, supportive and welcoming home environment. There is no doubt you will all learn a lot about a new culture, food, language and customs but you will also have the chance to

  • participate in activities and meet other host families
  • be a tourist in your own town as you show them around
  • make lifelong friendships with your student and their family.

There is a financial reimbursement for host families. Please contact Jodie Cunningham via email Jodie.cunningham321@schools.sa.edu.au for more information or apply directly using the link below.
