- Thursday, 14th February – 2:15pm
- Monday, 18th February – 6:30pm
- Tuesday, 19th February – 9:00am
Please select a ‘Volunteer Training Session’ from date/times offered above and contact the school administration staff on 8276 1523 or at email@example.com to secure your booking.

After Hours Sports Registration Information
Registrations for both summer and winter sports are open now!
Students in Years 2-7 in 2019 can now register. Parents, please consider how you might be able to help out. Roles for volunteers include; coordinators, coaches, team managers or helping out with an assortment of jobs on the day.
Information about registering was sent home with students today but you can also download the flyer here: after school sports 2019 registration info-2ig0p1x
In 2019, the cost of playing after school sports has risen. This was first suggested by the After School Sports Committee and was approved by the Governing Council and Finance Committee. The cost of playing sport at CLGPS has remained constant for the previous 8 years. In this time, the cost of umpires, equipment, uniforms, association registrations and admin costs have increased dramatically. The school has also committed to taking on more of the associated administrative tasks to relieve pressure on parent volunteers.
Therefore, in 2019, registering for basketball will cost $30 for summer and/or winter (as basketballers also pay an entrance fee of around $5 at the stadium) and all other sports will cost $90.
In comparison to many local sporting clubs, this is a very reasonable price for a season of sport. The school provides most, if not all equipment and uniforms for most sports and ensures maximum participation without restrictions on ability, gender or experience. Some sports do have age restrictions, with most sports beginning in Year 2 and softball in Year 3 (if they have enough for a junior team).
Registrations for summer sports finish very early in Term 1, so better to register early!
In term 3 the Governing Council approved an earlier closure in term 4 only of 1:00pm rather than the regular end of term finish at 2:10pm. This change was announced in the 9th of August 2018 newsletter and has been referred to on calendars since.
1:00pm is when students would normally start eating their lunch. As I am sure you can appreciate the last day of the year is not the most productive and so rather than coming back to class for 20 minutes after lunch, we will end the 2018 school year at lunchtime after students return to class after our final whole school assembly.
As reported previously arrangements were put in place for OSHC will begin as soon as school is dismissed. Bookings however are not limited.
